Our Story
Breeding top quality American Miniature horses since 2012...
Kingswood Horse Farm is an American miniature horse farm in the middle of The Netherlands in the beautiful area of the 'Veluwe'. We totally fell in love with the American Miniature Horse and American Shetland Pony and we have collected some outstanding miniature horses (AMHA/AMHR/ASPC) to produce the most beautiful refined horse in miniature that will be able to compete at the highest European and international level.
Every year we expect several foals that all will have a special place in our heart. All our horses, foals and other animals will be loved and taken care of the best we possibly can.
As we will not be able to keep all of our horses, every year some of the horses and foals will be offered for sale only to loving homes and preferably to showhomes.

The new type of miniature horse
Our goal is to produce a wonderful refined type miniature horse, with wonderful head, upright neck and a lot of presence and great movement. We have found these characteristics in the modern type miniature horse, with ASPC (American Shetland Pony - bred back from hackney and arabian horses, so not to interfere with the European shetland pony!) influence. The AMHA is well known for its size and beautiful head and the ASPC for the temperament, refinement and body. Many of our foals have proven to be Europe's best! We have bred AMHA/AMHR European Grand Champions, Supreme Champions and and World Honor Roll Champions!
For the future we strive to breed better horses every year. Therefore we select only the best breeding horses.
The beginning

Kingswood Horse Farm was founded in 2012 by Petra & Maurice. Our farm is named after the Royal Domain situated close to our place. When we saw the first American Miniature horse we directly fell in love and our dream to breed horses did came true by the purchase of our first broodmares. From the start of our farm we imported some of the best USA breeding horses to breed the best quality foals.
